Drake

Thanks, I don't think Drake has any suspension / steering parts for the early-V8 model fords. I can't find it in the online store.

From what I can tell my only option is the MustangII kit which will certainly make in onto my dream chassis list. I just wnated a quick fix for the old chassis in the mean time.

steering

Speedway and others offer a steering box mount for early ford frames to
fit a manual mor power saginaw steering box. Might work for you and is
pretty cheap to boot! Jim

steering with power

Hi Thanks for the tip, some good parts at speedway. I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for here sorry . The car has a 302 motor from an '83 F150 and it's actually got the F150 steering column. Does this mean it has the steering box from the truck also? I would also like to change out the column and I'm just not sure what I need to make the origional front suspension power steer.

With all the adaptors you could have anything as a steering box- post some pics and I am sure someone on here can identify what you have. Some
of the boxes used on these include early ford pu boxes, mustang boxes and
gm/saginaw boxes. There are many people on here who know much more than
I do and will probably be able to id the box you have with a glance! Jim
