41 Willy's super gas
Hello all
This is maybe a stupid question. But i couldn't helping thinking about it and i am wondering now. We are building a Wily's drag car , and mounting the engine with solid mounting plates. One front (between engine block and waterpump) and one ( between engine block and transmission). My question now is what to do with the rear trans. mount use the rubber mount or make this one solid also???? And why of course. Thanks for any info. Wander. |

Lilsmoke is right. You'll need some sort of crossmember with a poly or rubber mount to support the trans tailshaft.Otherwise you'll absolutely crack the trans. Also, while on the subject, you should install an engine limiter. It should be installed on either side of the engine between the engine and the frame, mounted diagonally, either toward the frt. or rr. whichever space permits. Hope that helps. Batstar70
