I am looking to help my 350 in the 72 Chevy PU pull a little better. I currently have some smogger heads on it. I don't remember the casing number but they are from an 85 if I remember correctly. I have a line on some 041, 993 and 416 heads. Which ones would give me the best performance? I am looking for some torque. I have heard that the 416s can be made to flow better than Votecs but I will not be doing any porting. I don't want to go to Vortecs or aftermarket mostly due to costs. I have a stock cam but would like to change it to an RV grind. Any help on that would be appreciated as well. I want to use this truck for pulling my trailer. (350 auto with 411 rear)

With larger valves, porting, and a good valve job they can flow more than stock Vortecs. All it costs is money. Since you're not wanting to do any porting and not wanting to spend much money I would leave what you have on there alone.
Instead spend your money on good long tube headers and an RV cam.
I found a pair of ported 441s that have been cut for 2.02/1.60 valves. Would these be better than the others I have listed?
