416 Heads on a 350

I am looking to help my 350 in the 72 Chevy PU pull a little better. I currently have some smogger heads on it. I don't remember the casing number but they are from an 85 if I remember correctly. I have a line on some 041, 993 and 416 heads. Which ones would give me the best performance? I am looking for some torque. I have heard that the 416s can be made to flow better than Votecs but I will not be doing any porting. I don't want to go to Vortecs or aftermarket mostly due to costs. I have a stock cam but would like to change it to an RV grind. Any help on that would be appreciated as well. I want to use this truck for pulling my trailer. (350 auto with 411 rear)

With larger valves, porting, and a good valve job they can flow more than stock Vortecs. All it costs is money. Since you're not wanting to do any porting and not wanting to spend much money I would leave what you have on there alone.

Instead spend your money on good long tube headers and an RV cam.

the #4416 heads will need porting to realize what you are after.

The #041's are a good high perf head and the motor will make more power and torque.
Even more with porting too.

With either head swap the cr will be higher and the truck will probabily require premimum gas.

With either head unported expect minimum gain. Don;t expect to save fuel.

Power requires burning fuel.

041's then the 993's & then the 416's. 041 heads are the same as the 186 & 492 double humps, they just don't have the humps.

I found a pair of ported 441s that have been cut for 2.02/1.60 valves. Would these be better than the others I have listed?
