How well do the 4160 series perform on a relatively stock engine? I herd they dont have much tuning to them? Will this affect the engine at all?
SBC 350 with a mild cam 1000-4000 rpm range
I'm a Q-Jet fan personally but on a basically stock 350 Chevy a List #1850 or 6619 is pretty close to working "out of the box", of course if you're like most of us "out of the box" won't do. My Monte Carlo came with an 6619 already on it and it it works "ok", most people wouldn't mess with it and I probably shouldn't but......... ;) It needs rebuilt anyway, it's probably been on there since the mid-80's from the looks of it and the date on the carb.
