4175 Holley Float Toe adjustment

I am using a 4175 spreadbore Holly. No where can I find the float adjustment settings. It does not have a site glass to see the adjustment. Every time I make a right turn, the carb gets flooded with gas and dies. I need the float toe height for primary and secondary floats. Holly has not answered my request.

re: 4175 Holley Float Toe adjustment

you have to remove the bowl and set the float by bending it. you have to "dry" set them, you can go to various carb sites and it shows how to and what height to set them at with the bowl inverted. when I ran one I would invert the bowl and set the float about 1/4 from the top of the bowl or a little lower, it always worked okay for me. the Spreadbore Holley is a dead end off the Holley family, they made them completely different than a regular Holley, is why I dumped mine and got a demon.

re: 4175 Holley Float Toe adjustment

I advise going to the Knowledge Base or Search This Forum (bottom right corner) and plug in Holly Carbs and you will find what your looking for. As for Holly on their site they have a free downloadable manual and troubleshooters guide.
If you do a Forum Search you will pull every post on the same subject, at least one a week.
Heres the proper Holly site for info.
