417ci small block chevy build up??

I was wondering if there would be any clearance problems when stroking a sbc 400 to a 417. The stock crank is 3.75 stroke, the stroked crank is a 3.85 stroke. Has anyone tried building one?

Never done it, but........Should be possible with a small base circle cam. Depending on the type of rods you use, you will probably have to do some clearancing on the rods and/or block. The profile of different types of rods will require different clearancing.
