420 Windsor
Has anyone here built the 351 W AND stroked it to the 420 would like to know what you think.

I am working on a 4.155" bore x 4.000" stroke windsor right now...
I personally do not like a over square (bore smaller then stroke) engine for best performance, so i bought a dart block for the build... What is your application and target horse power???? Are you planning on running a stock block??? Keith

When using stock blocks, I personally like the 408 for street use, kind of gives the best of both worlds, anything above 408 I use for race only.

BLOCK-- 1971 & LATER 351 BLOCK WITH 9.503 STOCK DECK HEIGHT AND 1 OR 2 PIECES REAR MAIN SEAL--GOING TO BORE IT .040 -Crankshaft brand new 4340 forged crank 4.100'' stroke custom ground and micro-polished finish to .010/.010 size,chamfered oil holes -rods brand new 5140 I -beam rods 6.200''long with bronze bushed pin and chrome moly rod bolts -still thinking on heads and other things,all I'm looking is a good performance street engine and if I want to race it sometime I can,going put it in a Ford Ranger .

I know of only one 421W with a C-4 and 4.30 gears in a 2200 lb car.
