429,460 in 1969 mustang mach 1

From what I understand, the '69 mustang had to be modified a good deal to fit the Boss 429. Does that go for all 429's. Has anyone here had experience putting a big block in a '69 or '70 mustang. Cause if she will fit that is the way I'd like to go.

The BOSS 429 received extensive apron work (KAR KRAFT) to accept the engine. The fitting of a wedge 429/460 into a 67/70 chassis is fairly simple.

the only reason that the 69-70 cars had to be modifted was case the boss 429 is huge..like 3 feet wide,,lol...a regular 429-460 will fit with the correct headers and mounts

No...The 69/70 has to be modified. The MUSTANG was enlarged in 1971 to accept the 429/429CJ/429SCJ.
