I have casting numbers from what I have been told is a 429 Cobra Jet 1970. Can anyone help to verify that the following numbers off of the heads is a Cobra: DOVE-A

No just a set of closed chamber 460/ 429 heads. Casting #DOOE-R is cobra jet heads. DOVE-A block would be a cobra jet though what are the # on the block.?
Cole is right, not Cobra-Jet. These are sometimes referred to as Thunder-Jet as they were commonly used on Thunderbird engines. Closed chamber with standard size ports and valves, not the monster sized Cobra-Jet ports and valves. Good place to start, however, especially as an upgrade for 73-up smogger head engines.
Look on the passenger side of the block, All the way towards the back just past the last freeze plug up on the side of the block should be the #.
Cole
