429 Cobra Jet Question

Hey everyone, i found a guy with a "460" ford block for sale, it comes with the crank turned 0.10" as well. He is saying that the numbers on the block are
D1VE 6015 AA. From what i can find on the net, i'm figuring it is a 71 429 Cobra Jet and not a 460. It is just a bare block with crank, no heads or anything else to look off for info. Have i hit the jackpot here or is it just an everyday 460, Thanks.

get the numbers off the crank ,that will tell you which one it is . The blocks are the same.

The V in D1VE is for Lincoln or 460. The number is listed as having some used in CJ's but I would be sceptical. As pointed out it would have 4 bolt block, in most cases, if it was a CJ. It is also the number used in bread and butter 429 engines. A visual is the best.

The block numbers you have posted is just a garden variety 429-460 block. I have two D1VE blocks in my shed and one in my truck, one is a 429 and two are 460's.
