429 thunderjet build?????

so I'm a student at ODU and I just bought a 68 thunderbird with a 429 thunderjet in it...cost me $750...been searching all over for info on this motor and can't find much...found a post on this board bout the old 427/428/429 motors and the differences of the thunderjets/cobra jets/supercobra jets but it wasn't much help

I'm rebuilding this motor and gonna put it in my 69 mustang....

I'm asking for any help and suggestions on how to go about this...what brands of parts i should use, if there was anything screwy with that motor i should know about, general build suggestions

any info no matter how little will be greatly appreciated

Thumbs up

It is a good base engine to start with. It will have the C8VE cylinder heads so it will give you a good cheap start for a street engine. Below is a cheap build for a 460.

Strange site. Some of the articles you can go through and some you can't. I just didn't follow that one to the end. Sorry...
