436 sbc

What kinda price should I ask for my 436 carb to pan? It's a dart Motown block, dart 230 heads, bullet mech roller, super victor intake, 850 QF carb. fab type valve covers, ati balancer, 10 1/2 to 1 pump gas. I'm not trying to sell it here, in fact it won't be until toward winter. It'll have around 1500 to 2000 miles by then. Harland sharp rockers, eagle rotating assy, carb etc were all new. I've got a figure in mind but was curious on what you all think would be fair.

Hi
I think if this were mine, I'd figure exactly how much I
have invested in it, subtract 3/16ths and offer it @ "best
offer over" $?????. whatever that amount would be.
Good Luck with it.
Rich

$6K tops.

And is it a DART SHP / Little M or World Motown block? You have your companies and models mixed up.

how did you come up with 436?An engine like that sold used will need to be taken apart.Make sure you make a fair deal before taking apart and share tear down price, wheather its bought or not.
custom parts and custom combination is a tough sell. Your cam might not suit my needs, etc,,,

NEVERsell a pan to carb unless it is a serial numbered signature build from a nationally known builder which adds value.Like LPE.

SELL component parts like heads, short block, rockers, cam, etc. And for the short block have a build sheet signed by the machine shop that did the work. And all the sales slips associated with the parts used.

Now you can take this advise or not.I've spent many yrs in the used performance parts business...........................

Oh yeah, prime selling time is around Thanksgiving and not in your local Craigslist. That is bush league.A number of national distribution parts sources and maybe close national attended winter swap meets.
