454

In my backyard i have a late 70's early 80's bus with a 454 in it, will it work if i put it in a 70's chevy truck or will it only run with a bus set-up, is it worth rebuilding?

Pull it and find out, if its not cracked and hasnt been opened ( or if you know it still runs) get it checked out by a machine shop, never waste a 454 especially when its free

Most GM big trucks and buses had 366 or 427 tall deck engines in them! You might want to check the casting #'s on the bellhousing before you go to a lot of expense thinking its a 454....
