almost done, 454, xe268h, 2.19/1.88 820 heads, c396 intake, 8.3 compression. Hope the pics uploads.

yeah kinda looks like a big punkin. Will be nice to get it in the car and see what this thing will do. This was my 19 year old son's first larger motor rebuild ( he's done a few 2 strokes ). The old MT's came on this engine in a truck we bought for parts, were flat black. Blasted them, they cleaned up nicely.

I was wondering where I parked my Firebird! I'll be by later to pick it up... lol

(I had one that looked like a close cousin to yours, still miss it! Mine started life as a Turbo 301 and ended up w/a 428.)

how was the idle with that cam, any valve train noise I heard this can be a problem.

the idle just had a slight lope. very nice street cam. i had no noticeable valvetrain noise and it broke in well.
