454???

Is it possible to internally balance a 454??? Had a discussion with a friend on this. I thought it was possible but he didn't think so. Any experts out there that can let me know?

Not an expert, but I don't see why not if you had a neutral balance damper and flywheel or flexplate, you can remove metal and add heavy metal all day long. JMO

Customer demanded that his mild hydraulic lifter 454 be internally balanced.. Then became beligerant when the balance job cost him $480.00.. Plus another harmonic balancer/flywheel..

Yes, they can be internally balanced. But on a street motor, why?

A friend and I were talking and I brought it up that I thought that you could internally balance a 454. It was just a conversation. He has an engine and is contemplating putting into an El Camino. He is not thinking of doing it, it was just a conversation.
