454 BBC heads by FoMoCo??
Im gathering parts for a 454 build Im planning right now.
I was given these 454 heads by an old guy Im good friends with. They came off of a Marine 454 (a crusader I think). It was a Higher output 454 rated at 400hp, where as the typical marine 454 is rated at 330hp. The guy needed new valve guides and put swapped these out for some new GM factory. I was looking these heads over trying to get the casting numbers off of them. Well I haven't been able to match the numbers up to anything off of the internet, and whats wierd is they are stamped with FoMoCo? is that as in Ford motor company? Heres the numbers off of them 3030 302 Brad

I am not up on marine heads, but they don't look like any BBC heads I have seen. Is the source confused? Sure look like Ford to me.

I was told those were off of a 454. I didn't pull them or anything. They were just given to me because they were just sitting around getting rusty, and the guy knew I was working on a 454.
Im not familar with fords, and Im still used to the damn SBC.  Brad

These are definetly not heads off of a Big Block Chevy.The valves on a BBC are splayed,or I guess you could say they are angled away from each other,or "Porcupined"as they say.

I forgot the BBC had the kinda staggered valves
I guess I was told wrong then. Im just glad I didn't pay anything for them. Live and learn Thanks guys Brad

Look like small block ford heads to me, actualy looks like a set of early small block ford castings, whats is the casting #?

From what I can see of the combustion chambers, these look like 68-70 Ford 302 heads with 63 combustion chambers and non adjustable rail rocker arms.
