454 big block?

ok so i am replacing a 400 small block with a 454 big block and im wanting to know what kind of mods or if any, i would have to do. would it bolt right to my th350? thanks

You`ll have to change to big block mounts, even so the small block mounts will work, it`ll likely sit too high. Yes, it`ll bolt up to a TH350.

its going in a 76 chevy 3/4 ton. so it would sit to high?

Hood clearance shouldn't be a problem in the truck, depending on intake height/type.

Motormounts are different than the small block in these trucks.
The BB mounts even use different holes in the frame
The clamshell can be used tho.

Exhaust will need to be changed
Wiring to the Alternator may be too short
Wheezy small blockradiator won't get it.

Try to find the upper support from any "heavyduty cooling truck"
The radiators are about 3" taller and a radiator from a BB Chev/GMC or a diesel.
Fan shroud will also need to be changed

ok so just the motor mounts ,the radiator, the fan shrowd and alt wiring needs to be changed? thanks
