Do a site search, 500 hp from a BB is easily done, and has been addressed many times. You should find something.

You will be replacing everything except for the block crank and rods.
for a truck friendly 500hp 454 consider supercharging it.
The weiand BBC 174 blower kit is just right.
You want a low compression ratio.

What is the cylinder head casting number on your 454?

A Gen V 454 has some unique block had colling passages that complicate
swapping on more desireable cylinder heads.

The 96 to 2000 GEN VI motor is more desireable as a starting point.
(factory hyd roller cam, better stock (vortec) heads, old Mark IV heads bolt on.)
