53 stude

Do you have the stock front suspension? Or, Mustang 2 ?
I have a 53 stude coupe but it has a Ford 351 W in it. with a Nova/Camero front suspension..Yea, I know that different. Just the way I bought it.
I think it will go in O.K the only area that might be questionable is at the harmonic balancer area.

The neatest thing about the old studs was the amount of room in the engine compartment. I'e seen 392 Chrysler Hemis in there. My buddy and I years ago put a Chevy 348/tri-power/auto in a 53 starlite. We used a ford wagon 9" Packard spindles/springs/brakes up front. Still would"nt stop all that well.. Finally stopped 7 rows into a tree farm one nite.. Suggest you clip it like "wheel-7"s and if you use a big block clip you'd have the suspension for the weight of a big block and then disc brake it all around. You'll be able to make it go where you point it and STOP TOO!! Good Luck and share pics..
