454 Gbody engine build

I hav a 454 BBC 4 bolt main #361959,with #336781 heads,a #3883948 manifold intake, a TH400 transmission, and 8.5"posi rearend with 3. 73 gear... I'm looking for suggestions on .060 bore pistons & a cam to maximize the potential of my motor without doing any other modifications besides headers...

Heads will be ~118/120 cc's unless the head decks have been cut to lower chamber displacement. You really will not know until you cc the chambers for yourself.

Using 118, use these low-dome SRP forgings.....
SRP Big Block Chevy Small Dome Profile Pistons 212136 - SummitRacing.com
to make a 10.1:1 static compression ratio

Use a Crane "Saturday Night Special", although you'll need more gear and a 3000+ stall converter.
Crane Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshafts 134551 - SummitRacing.com
Intake valve closes at 43 degrees ABDC @0.050" tappet lift and makes DCR of 8.505:1. I would shoot for 0.040" to 0.050" squish.

This is just one idea, there are hundreds of ways you could make power with a BBC, including building it 8.0:1 and bolting on a small blower with this same general cam grind.

I'm looking for combination suggestions on cylinder heads, intake manifold, cam, and pistons to bore my motor over .060 & hav drivable STREET machine. (Going into a 2dr 1980 Gbody Malibu)

Hmmm! I thought I just posted a suggestion for a build on a 454 in a thread titled Edelbrock C427x manifold.
