I have a 1954 with a 283 and my steering box is very close. I am going to pull my 283 out sunday. i am going to paint my fire wall and redo my motor supports they are solid no rubber. I am going to put a new truck independent front suspension, that i found on this web site.( the plans not the front end) After that if i find a good 454 I will put that in or put the 283 back in till I fine one.I will reply if i do it first. you tell me if you do it first.
