454 into Caprice: what problems?
 

I Have a strong 454 that I came by dirt cheap and want to put it in a 87 Caprice. Smog is not an issue. Has anybody done this swap, and if so what problems ??? thanx much, Jim

:) I wouldn't think there would be much problem with that swap.should be plenty of room.must be building one of them there sleepers :D

I cant help a hole lot but there two things you'll need is a 4 core radiator and hd. coil springs I dont really see any major problems if its the body style I thinking it is sorry not much ( wrenchturner )

bolt in should be a piece of cake(motormounts,trans,etc)Radiator will need to be improved(I prefer extra fins to extra tubes)The only issue I can think of would be ignitionchoices and electrical engine controls (ecm vs no ecm)
