Hp is a function of torque * RPM / 5252

The only limit to hp is in the RPM limit and ability to give sufficent fuel/air mixture at that RPM

AND

to produce effective torque at that high rpm

which means

having an effective compression ratio at a the peak rpm

therefore

if you can build high torque at high rpm you will reach max theoretical hp

Do us a favor and use your search engines... Type in BIG BLOCK CHEVY HORSEPOWER... Hit the GO button and then look at all of the sites that come up.... I just did it, it took 20 seconds to come up with a hundred sites... Here is one... real cool stuff and real expensive... http://www.badasscars.com/engineprices/chevbb.html

With the correct combo 1800 hp is easy. Parts cost alot for this kind of setups.
