Im in the military (USAF) for 14 years now, thats why if you go to the link youll see two folders with pics of the car adn a folder with pics of my friends at Metal Masters who are doing the body work right now.
Currently I have, as I said, a 455, (standard bore) with a hot street cam that gives me .503/.520 lift with 1.65 rockers. The heads were donated from an old pontiac 400 and are 4X-7H heads modified with stainless steel 2.11/1.77 valves. The heads were shaved .20 to raise the compression from 8.8-1 to 9.4-1. The carb is a rebuilt 750 cfm rochester that was modified to flow 800cfm. Oh and for the neat little add-ons I have ceramic coated HOOKER headers with 1-3/4 inch primaries and I added March under-drive pulleys to the crank, watepum, alternator and power-steering pump.
For the front suspension I did the front drum to disc conversion adn am fixing to do the rear as soon as the guys are done with the body work. but they are just stock replacements for now. Im also about to order a new GM 12 bolt rear for the bird adn get the lowering leaf-springs for the rear and upper A-arms and lowering springs for the front, all from global west. Later Ill go for the lower A-ars and coil-over shocks.
Ill fill in more about whats being done with the body in a while, but for now, Ill see all of you in the forums and if I can help with anything let me know.
