455 rebuild?

Ok heres the question. I have a 72 Lemans with a 455 and a turbo 400 auto trans. I am almost positive that I have a cracked head. If I have to pull the 455 anyway, should I do a rebuild on the 455 or replace it with a 454 or possibly a 502?

The car is a non matching numbers car, so Im not worried about the engine swap affecting the resale value.

One senerio was that I sell the current 455 and use the money to buy a 454. I think that the 454 will put out more hp and torque but the problem is that I would have to buy all new engine acessories like headers and the trans bell housing.

Either way is going to be expensive but I dont have an unlimited buget so I would like to stay as inexpensive as possible if there isnt a big hp or torque difference between the 455 and 454. I dont favor one over the other, I just dont want to sacrifice any hp or torque that I currently have with the 455.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

You may be unpleasantly surprised when you price a 454. They're gettin' scarce.
