46-48 Chevy

I need the measurment from the firewall to the centerline of the front suspension for a stock Chevy. I was hoping that someone might have one around with the front sheet metal off.
thanks
Gary

What are you doing?

Up grading or rebuilding it? Or do you plan to sub it?

I have a 47 with the front sheetmetal off but it already has a Mustang II front suspension on it. I know it is in the right place because we drove it for years and the wheels look perfect in the front wheel wells. Would a measurement on this one help? Measure from where on the firewall?

The Old Online Chevy Manual site has the body manual and shop manual available. You can get a lot of info there. Good luck.

If you could give me a measurement from the lower drivers side of the firewall to the spindle centerline, that would be great.
Thanks

I'm getting 22 inches from the lower portion of the firewall on the drivers side to the spindle centerline. Hope this helps.
