HELP, i have a 46 chevy coupe,i want to put a 62 235,and a saginaw 3 speed od in place of the 216 3 speed, what bellhouseing do i need to use, that has the rear mounts?
also donig away with closed drive shaft, what rear end will work the best so i dont has to cut one down?
what wheels you wanting to run?
70-81 camaro fit's decent if you don't want to run too deep of a wheel.
also, if you don't mind trimming all the brackets off, a 68-72 chevelle works too.
i'm running 8.5 centerlines on my 48 (same car for these purposes) but with a 59" 9" ford....
ITHINK the 216 bell will work with the 235 but there's some issues with the front of the engine (at least that's what somebody told me so take it for what it's worth)
mines had a sbc in it for 25 years....
now getting refitted with a 348 if i ever get back to it.
too many projects
is this the car that is in march 2009 rod and custom?
this is a very good look ride.
thanks for the reply,i will start looking in tothe parts you tlaked about.
