46 Ford

Hi..I am new and have a 1946 Ford Tudor that I am on the second frame off with. The first was based on a hot rod flat motor that will now go in a 34 ford pick-up. The current build will have a small block ford, AOD and nine inch ford rear. I have had to cut the X member build a new mount to get the AOD in but think it will be worth it. I live in the Texas Panhandle and it we do some long drives to get to rod runs. I am attaching some pics of the progress.

re: 46 Ford

Welcome to the group. I started a 47 four door about a year ago but just moved to a new house this fall so it got put on hold until i get a new shop built. Have some pictures in journal. I'am using a 83 elCamino frame with 4 wheel independent suspension. 350 with 350 trans. most of frame has been a piece of cake. wheel base was perfect for 4 door and i just cut and welded in new rails before i cut off outer part of old frame rails so nothing to measure an every thing stayed just like chevy built it.
