46 Rh questions

Hi,
I have a Land Rover Defender 390 stroker mopar engine and transmission 46RH that use only in off-road,I redid my 46rh using a kit Trans-scat in Heavy Duty model

http://static.summitracing.com/globa...tci-220500.pdf

my engine does not use an original ECU, and no longer manages the lock-up and the 4th, how can I manage them? I can put two external switches?
the lock-up must operate only when I trigger the switch on the 4th?

I had already seen the site PATC, there is this kit:

Dodge 727 Transmission Swap to 518 Transmission from PATC, 46RE 47RE 48RE

says that it works only with stock tire size and rear end ratio, I will use 37 tires and different transmission

I think this kit does not work

The kit does work and I have installed it on a 89 Dakota 5.9 w/518

It is a matter of tuning it to work.

The vacuum switch is adjustable. The pressure switch for the side of the trans is not.
If your gearing/tire size/final ratio is outside the parametrs of the switch you can get a pressure switch at NAPA for the correct pressure.
They have a wide selection, but you need a good counterguy, so dont go to McParts for it, Go to NAPA.
We used a 62 PSI switch because the 52 PSI at PTC was to Low as the rear gear was a 4.10.
The vacuum switch is good as it is throttle inclination sensitive. Meaning...at cruise(vacuum high) it holds, when the throttle is opened Vacuum is dropped and switch changes states(continuity) there are both normally open and normally closed contacts on the vacuum switch. Plus it is adjustable as well.so If you have a big cam you can tailor it to your driving habit.

Ok thanks a lot,
my jeep use only in the off-road can not circulate in the street, then the lock-up I do not think I need, I do not care save fuel, and then I would make a system as simple as possible, I could put a switch just for the 4th, it's a bad idea?

IIRC it will work, but it will shift to 4th right away if left on, as third gear has a switch that closes to complete 4th gear circuit in trans.
Check wiring diagram to be sure, I think that is how its setup.
