460 flywheel, 400 pressure plate?

I have a 79 F250 with a 460 cid in it with a 4-speed. My brother smoked the clutch while pulling the tractor out of the mud. I am getting a LUK clutch kit to replace it with. My dad and I used the 460 cid flywheel, tapped the existing holes in it (the 400 cid pressure plate matches these), and used a 400 pressure plate. I did this 11 years ago when I rebuilt the engine because we could not find a clutch kit for a 460 cid in a 79 F250. Luk clutches has the kit for the 460 cid, but its for 1983. However, both kits for the 400 cid and the 460 cid have the same dimensions (11 7/8" OD, 1 1/16" spline, and 10 teeth). Will the 460 cid kit work? I know I can use the 400 cid kit because its basically what we have on it now. The only difference I can think of would be the pilot bushing, I'll go buy the correct one at NAPA. Thanks for your help. billybob.

re: 460 flywheel, 400 pressure plate?

if the spline is the same, and the diameter is close(clutch isn;t larger than the flywheel), and it bolt's on, run it. i have a 72 f250, 390, no f250 made with a 390, so i have to get whatever the hell fits, get used to it.
