460 Ford Engine

Can anyone tell me the year of the above engine? The number on the block just above thr stater is DIVE-6015-A2B and the number on the intake Manifold is D6vE-9425, the stamp circle reads 97- 58. Thank You

Looks like the block is a 1971 and the intake has a 1976 casting # on it , Hope this helps.

Let me warn you about one thing....if you are rebuilding this motor, use a timing set from a '68-'71 429. The later timing sets will retard the cam by up to 8 degrees and you won't like the results. The '68-'71 429 chain and sprockets are manufactured at zero, neither advanced nor retarded. They'll bolt right into a later 460. I don't know how many times I have read of fellows using the '72-up timing set and then wondering why the motor won't pull the hat off their head.
