468 BBC and Mutha Thumpr cam??
Hi all,
I really need your advice here: could buy a 468, all new with a Mutha Thumpr cam 11-601-4 (287/304 and 235/249 @ 0.50") I heard a lot about "posing cam", bad performance and so on. AND: I'm not a poser and don't just want the rough idle...I want it smooth with daily driver qualities but with a lot of low and mid range power! The mill goes in a 67 Chevelle, TH400, 2500 stall with 3.55 gears. The guy offered me a cam swap - what would you do? thank you very much for your help!! Fonti |

If a smooth(er) idle is a prioriety, change the cam. Find a cam with 218 to 226 @.050" intake duration 110-112 or 114 LSA and .500-.520" lift at the valve. Like this Lunati cam |
