47 Ford 5 window coupe "hard" headliner

I want to put a "hard" headliner in a 47 Ford 5 window coupe. I know how to do the headliner, but there are no mounting points, either wooden or metal on the inside roof. I need to make mounting points for the luan plywood base so I can screw the plywood to the wooden supports. I will have to make them out of wood, and my question is: What glue or epoxy or contact adhesive should I use and how would it be applied? Any help you guys can give would be appreciated.
Also.......does this car have a metal trim ring that goes around the rear window? This car has trim rings for the windshield, front and rear windows, but none for the rear window, is this how it was originally?

Thanks again.

Dan
