47 Ford Radio installation
 

Anyone with a 46-48 Ford run into this? My 47 has a 12 volt wiper motor in a stock dash - I would like to put a CD player/radio where the original radio was, but due to the size of the wiper motor, there isn't enough room. The wiper motor was in the car when I got it. I think it came from Bob Drake Reproductions. Is there a radio that fits? When I discovered this problem, I looked up the wiper motor, and it says "note - WILL NOT work with factory radio" Any suggestions?

has the vehicle been converted to 12 volt neg ground. fords used pos ground on ther 6volt system

Try one from a VW I thnk they may be smaller..otherwise may take a bit of creativity to relocate the motor you have..Lotta trouble for sounds..

Maybe buy an Ipod... :evil: Hey the debbel got into me..

Perhaps a remote mounted radio / CD player, with a dash mounted Head might solve the problem...

Only drawback is you have to load the CD 's at the remote location, but some higher end players will hold 10 at a time...
