472 Caddy into 59 Impala

I am starting my first engine swap by putting a big block Caddy engine and TH400 gearbox into my 59 Impala.
When working out the final position of them do I fit them so they are completely horizontal or do you have them leaning back at a small angle? I am also thinking of solidly mounting the engine into the frame with a plate sitting in between the water pump & block and extending out to the frame rails, any suggestions if a good idea or not? the main reason is due to the engine mounts that I have to use as they rap around the oil pan from the block fitting points an fit to the cross member under the engine and dosen't look like it will be Strong in the way of side load/engine twist?

GM normally tilted the engines 3* to the rear, and the intakes are machined to this angle so put it in 3* to the rear.

Looks good on the out side and well tricked out under the hood. It has the same sort of wheel size's I am thinking of.

The Engine and gearbox are in and dont look to bad an install even if I do say so my self.

Next thing will be to make some headers up. I will have to buy a box of U & J shape pipes from somewhere, Anyone have any names of where to get them from?

If this is a street motor, I'd exchange the open spacer for a 4-hole model to isolate the runners. Otherwise, you're turning a 180 degree manifold into a 360 degree manifold.
