48 Chevy Aero Sedan

Iam doing a 48 aero and have seen several seats, in different cars at shows. I would prefer bucket seat with console to run up under the dash. If anyone knows what might fit nice, and could point me in the right direction, your help would be appreciated.

Most of the guys at the shows that I have met are friendly and like to talk cars so if you see something like you want ask the guy..Other than that take a tape measure to the car and check around til you find something that fits..

Lots of ingenuity needed to build one of these things..

Hi djboen, I am also doing a '48 Aerosedan an thinking about the same setup. Perhaps we can exchange ideas and see what turns out. If I find seats and console that will fit I'll let you know. If you find it, you know what to do.

At what stage of the build are you? I am almost finished with my chassis. I am waiting for rear springs seats to be returned from RB'S Obsolete Chevy Parts where they are being vulcanized. I have a M ll IFS with power rack installed up front. I have a rebuilt 250ci inline six and a TH350 tranny backed up with a Camaro 10 bolt 8.50" ring gear. I am hoping to have the body blasted in the next week or two, then the fun begins, the jig saw puzzle will start to come together again. "Together again" sounds like Buck Owens is here somewhere. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Al

re: 48 Chevy Aero Sedan

Im using bucket seats out of a mustang, and then built my own console in my 48. Had to build a higher platform for the seats to sit on, but i like the looks, and they feel good.
