48 Chevy brake assembly

I found a 1940 chevy parts car. Does anybody know if the brake pedal assembly and master cylinder etc. are the same on a 40 and 48? I need the pedal assembly to work with the chassis engineering master cylinder and master cylinder mount. I figured 41-48 would be the same but 40 could be a little different. Thanks for any help.
