48 Chevy coupe from Florida

I'm new here, so I hope this is the correct board.(It's suspension related). My project is to make a streetrod out of the first car I ever drove; (many years ago)(I'm only the 2nd owner). It's a 48 Chevy convertible. My question is, does any body have the link to a guy from Florida that put an M2 suspension in a 48 Chevy coupe? I stumbled across his link a week ago & can't find it again. He had some pictures of the project, before & after, along with a good shot of the M2 installed on the front of the frame rails. One pic of the complete car has mismatched wheels & the other shot a set of matched wheels. Another shot showed the dash with VDO's. The car is black & is parked in his driveway. His alias might have been something like 72BB...............Thanks............Zoomy88

I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know, but Heidt's makes an MII kit for the '48 Chevy:

As a Moderator here, I would like to...
WELCOME YOU HERE....

The Mustang II front suspension changeover is one of the hottest topics here. Lots of good advice. I do not know of the car you speak of........but it is likely that he is a member here and will speak up.

How lucky you are to still have your first car and it be a desirable model. My first car was a hand me down old 4 door... .....but it was wheels and I was proud of the freedom it gave just the same.......

Again......WELCOME ....

DEUCE

48 rag

Billyshope.....I'm going to order the kit from Heidts.......Thanks anyway.....Deuce.....Yes it's lucky to have the car. My uncle bought it new in 48 and drove it for 20 years. He then stashed it in his garage for 19 more years before passing away. I then bought it from the estate, fixed the radiator & braqkes and drove it for awhile before determining that the front end was unsafe. Now i've had it in storage for 17 years and have decided to do something about it. BTW, he taught me to drive the car when I was 14. I also have the sales receipt for it.... It's not the first car I owned, just the first car I ever drove...............Zoomy88
