48 dodge coupe shifting
Hi guys,, I just got a 1948 dodge coupe..I cant get it to shift...if any one knows how it works or how to do maintance on it,I would be very greatful.Its all there, i just cant get in gear,THANK YOU GUYS <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

i take it this is a 3 speed on the column.
For reverse, pull the shift lever toward you and up. 1st gear is toward you and down. 2nd is away and up, 3rd is away and down. JB

Is it a fluid drive or a 3 speed stick?
