Gentlemen-
I picked up some 49-54 Chevy spindles to go on a straight front axle. The spindle is not perpendicular with the kingpin bore. How they go might be obvious; but there may be some physics at work I'm not familiar with. The question is... Do they mount to the axle with the spindles inclined UP http://www.brainvirus.org/project/spin_up.jpg ...or DOWN? http://www.brainvirus.org/project/spin_down.jpg Thank you!!! |

Down.
Is your axle set up to use the Chevy kingpins? They are a different diameter than the Fords. |

Envision the axis of the kingpin intersecting the exact point where the tire and ground meet. This will steer (excuse the pun) you right every time.
