Thanks Joe I guess I will start looking at Camaro's other than my free one. Any suggestions of a step by step process for doing this? I'm one of those people that researches everything before I start a project. I have had a hard time finding any links for a step by step.

Thank you for your reply. I found a 1980 camaro to use for my project. Could you right me a step by step of what I need to do to get this to work? I want to do all the work myself it's for my father and we love fixing up hot rods and building projects but I have always done newer vehicles this is my first classic and I'm pretty pumped about it. I went through about 12 pages of your album but my dads connection is Satellite which is super slow and its taking forever to open anything. I would appreciate any advice you could give me. I have a feeling this one may be a challenge.
Thanks for all you guys help. Mark Last edited by Blankenship; 08-31-2009 at 07:01 PM. |

Just remember this is a job.. But can be done.. Always check your measurement's ... Take your Camaro And set the back frame where it's level (BY IT SELF) Once it's level,Tack a piece of angle iron on it's edge front to back on the center of the crossmember... This will give you a place to put your lever on to set it up...You will be removing this when done... What ever you do ... Please don't put the Camaro frame under the truck frame..
If it's the only way you can do it,Well that's you.. I just don't go that route.. I will post some picture of some of the one's I did... One is my 57 Chevy car I did... The other one's, Or of a 58 Chevy truck I did.. You will see I don't weld them under the frame... I'm sure they are ''SUPER STRONG'' that way... But they just don't look right like that.. Sorry that's just my 2 cents..
