4L60 E Torque Converter Locks and Unlocks in a continous cycle
I've got a 1998 GMC with a 305 Vortec w/4L60 E the problem is it keeps locking and unlocking causing the flex plate to flex in and out more than it should. This causes the plate to break at the bolt holes and around the crankshaft. This is the 5th time it's done this. I'm putting in a new or should I say another 4L60 E transmission but I'd like to be able to fix the one I have. Any ideas as to what is causing this problem. I've changed the torque converter lock-up solenoid.
