On the 4l60e, what's the difference between the sonnax .500 and transgo hd2 shift kit boost valve???

Sonnax is a alloy type material, uses O-rings for more sealing around the boost valve.

TransGo is a steel / ferrous material , no O-rings.

Depending on how late model 4L60E you have the early design valves will not fit with out machine work.

In bone stock OE applications, I have received complaints of too firm of shifts with a larger boost valve in the pump. The "E" RWD trannys respond quickly to shift mods

Besides the material they are made of, are they both identical? Size wise?

the dual land inner valve in each unit , each land is a different size usually. One land is main boost , other is reverse boost

never seen a difference.
