4L60E problems

First time writing, and thanks to all here for good info!

Just did a rebuild on this hunk of junk. Installed and now car seems to be stuck in gear (not sure which gear) throughout all gear ranges. When placed in reverse car will move forward, unless i give it a little gas. in park, same issue, keeps moving forward, and is putting a bit of stress on the poor junker.
I could go out and poke around to see, but Im lazy and wished to skip it and see if anyone has an idea. Mayhap a check ball slipped and fell into a bad spot?

thanks in advance

You could pull the pan and make sure manual link is hooked up. Otherwise, it sounds like the fwd clutch or overruns are stuck on. Might be hard to isolate with an air check, in the rig.

Kinda what I figured, But im a bit lazy with all the extra time this has taken. When i first installed the clutch packs, they seemed a bit tight, Im not sure if the fella I bought the rebuild off of was very reputable ( places are few and far between up here) but everything was almost within specs. I was minus 2 clutch plates and a few seals but whatever..
Im going to go out and take it for a little spin. If it locks up and burns, Ill throw a spare in.

Im guessing it isnt the manual link, because its still shifting through gear ranges, but is locked into what I think is second gear (or maybe 1st, and I'm not getting OD)

Am I incorrect in assuming that I may be able to test the clutch packs with air through the valve body? If i could save the removal again, I would be happy. Im not a fan of these Blazers.. been trouble since I got it.

thanks again for the reply

It Sounds Like The Manual Positioning Sensor That Goes On The Outside Of The Trans Over Your Linkage.

Clutch pack was not releasing and siezed up. Replaced it with a junker and shes running again. Got a few pinholes in my exhaust though. I should have taken the time to pull the exhaust instead of cutting it :\

Thanks for the replys
