if the years are the same the internal electrics will be good.

you will need to change the tail housing and perhaps the speed-O stuff

Solenoids

By the way, are the solenoids used to shift the electronic transmission the same type as those used to lock up torque converters?

The trans you bought is for a chevy engine, what engine is in your TA?

I was under the impression that all 4L60E trans had a removable bell housing, but that one does not. Waiting for Mr. Crosley to straighten out the cornfusion here.

Add-on info found online.

"The key distinction of the Later 4L60-E (1997-2006) from the Early 4L60-E (1992-1997) or 4L60 (1990-1992) or 700R4 (1982-1989) is the six-bolt "hex" rear output or tailhousing / adapter pattern. The previous versions featured a four-bolt square bolt pattern at the adapter or tailhousing. Additionally, the removeable bellhousing is also another distinguishing feature between the early and late 4L60E."

All 700 / 4L60 trannys are chevrolet V-8 bell housing pattern on the fixed bell tranny case, cept for the small case V-6 bell

jmark......... obviously you have learned something new about the 4l60E tranny.

Decotoxiver..... did you read my earlier comment in this thread on the 94 caprice tranny? The TA should have a torque arm from the diff up to a mount on the tranny tail housing

In the 1995 model year 4L60E the elctronics were changed for a PWM converter lock up system.
