4L60E shift improver

Hello. i currently have a 98 silverado 4x4 with the 4l60e, and i am very unhappy with the sluggish shifting characteristics of it. I had a 94 silverado also with a 4l60e and i put the B&M electronic shift improver in it which is just a switch that bumps up line pressures. i liked the improvement. The 94 had 290,000 miles on a stock transmission before i sold it and it never went out and i towed constantly and abused it.

My question is if i put one of these B&M things in my 98 will it shorten the life of my transmission? it has 155,000 miles on it and doesnt feel worn out but I am worried that the sluggish shifts are going to burn it up fast.

The Shift Improver actually reduces slippage & shortens shift time.
It probably wont hurt but, it's not going to save a worn Trans.
