4L60E shift kit-cpu reprogram?
1998 Chevy k1500 5.7 350 4l60e trans. I was told that after 97 in these transmissions.. if you install a shift kit the computer must be reprogrammed or flashed to be able to control the trans. Is there any truth to this?

agreed with Crosley u can firm up shifts threw computer tuners but not a nessasity
