4l60e torque converter locked

if one of the oil seals on the main shaft got damaged when i seated the pump would that cause the torque converter to stay locked up? also i bought a remanufactured OEM converter. are there alot of bad converters that could be the problem?

I can only tell you I have been through about 4 converters on my 4l60e. One lasted days and the current one lasted about 2 years. I am now selling the truck I am so fed up.

They can be bad right out of the box.

thank you for the response. I have taken the valve body out and rechecked it and I have gotten a new tcc solenoid and took out the fuse to find the torque converter still locked up. I just may have a bad remanufactured converter. thanks again.
