4L60e tranny 4x4 and 2 whl drive?

im trying to find out if what i heard was true about the 2&4 wheel drive 4l60e are the same transmission as long as you have the adapter for the transfer case. is it true please help!!!!!

the answer you look for is "no"

4x4 and 2 wheel drive 4L60E output shafts are different lengths.

Same transmission as long as you change BOTH the output shaft AND the tail housing.
