4L60E Trans Swap

I have a chance to pick up a 4L60E trans for a good price. Has anyone converted it into an older car? I guess I'm concerned about the electrical controls and the ease of conversion. It would probably go into my '86 ElCamino which currently has a 200R4, without computer control. Are harnesses, computer/controllers, etc available on the aftermarket?

Why? probably because he wants to.
There are companies that have a stand alone computer to shift the transmission. I think TCI sells one.
